How do I describe my self? Well, it depends on who I am speaking to. My clients want to know about my experience in counseling. So I tell them about my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, my experience counseling clients with sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, mood disorders, relationship problems and psychotic disorders. I tell them I am a Christian and have experienced depression, abuse, and recovery. I am an optimist that sees the glass 1/4 FULL and believe that as long as someone is alive there is always hope for healing. My friends want to know that I am available for support, fun or lunch anytime they need me. My family wants to know that I am there for encouragement, food, and babysitting. I am very flexible and have been blessed with many experiences that have taught me to live in the present with the knowledge my actions will impact the future. I can honestly say that I have been blessed with an alcoholic father and co-dependent mother. I have learned how to love unconditionally and accept everyone for who they are at that moment. That is not to say I don't experience negative emotions or never meet someone who irritates me. I am very human and am always asking God to help me overcome my challenges. I have spent my life time trying to be transparent and genuine (it takes too much energy to be otherwise). So, if there is anything you want to know about me, just ask.
